This platform facilitates research data donation from study participants to Aalto University researchers. By using this platform, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Participants understand their data will be used for academic research as described in the Privacy Statement of the study they are taking part to.
Researchers agree to use the donated data solely for research purposes and in accordance with ethical guidelines.
Any future updates or changes to this term of service will be communicated by updating this page.
Eligibility
The data donation platform is available to participants in research studies conducted by Aalto University researchers.
If you are under the age of 16, you cannot use this platform unless a guardian has separately reviewed the consent with the researchers.
Researchers must be affiliated with Aalto University or approved partner institutions as described in the privacy notice.
Permitted Uses:
Researchers may use participant data for academic research related to the topic of social media use and wellbeing.
Prohibited Uses:
Researchers may not commercially exploit, sell, or redistribute participant personal data, or use the data for other research purposes than those permitted in this terms of use.
Data Storage & Retention
Refer to Privacy Statement for data retention periods and deletion procedures.
Upon participant withdrawal, data collection ceases immediately and identifiers are deleted within 30 days.
Participant Withdrawal
Participants may withdraw from any study at any time. Withdrawal stops data collection immediately and triggers data deletion per Privacy Statement timelines.
Researchers agree to process data only for research studies that have been reviewed by the Aalto University research ethics committee.
Researchers agree to institutional oversight and data auditing.
Researchers must adhere to these terms and to any other legal and research integrity guidelines that apply to academic research in Europe.
Violations may result in revocation of access or termination of data collection.
